Take the Ideal Staffing Business Model Test
and see how your staffing firm measures up…

Is your staffing firm scalable??
5 points if you could open a new office tomorrow without any hassle
3 points if you could only open a new office if you could find the right people to hire.
0 points if you're so stuck in the daily chaos you can barely get out of bed,
let alone open a new office.

Are the services you offer compelling to the client?
Or does the staffing firm down the street offer the same service?

5 points if people come to you because you offer something no one else offers.
3 points if people think your service is better.
0 points if the last five phone calls started with "What's your markup?"

Are you leveraging every asset (human, technological and financial)
in order to yield the highest value?

5 points if you're producing at least $150,000 in gross margin per employee.
3 points if you're producing $100,000 in gross margin per employee.
0 points if you don't know what your gross margin per employee is.

Are your internal processes predictable, repeatable and consistent?
5 points if you follow a checklist for every step in your service process.
3 points if certain areas of your service process run smoothly.
0 points if everyone does their own thing.

Is your business highly efficient and productive?
5 points if you fill 95% or more of your orders with less than 3% fall off.
3 points if you fill 80% of your orders.
0 points if you don't know your fill ratio.

If you scored between 20 - 25, then you either have, or are approaching the ideal staffing business model. It you scored between 15 - 20 then you could benefit from some simple adjustments to your business model. If you scored below 15, don't shut down operations just yet! The processes that truly efficient staffing firms use to achieve outstanding results are repeatable.

Even the most efficient staffing firms can improve client loyalty, sell higher gross margins and deliver a more compelling client experience by continually enhancing their internal processes.
